SEC PREVIEW: Tennessee

What a Tennessee Fan Thinks: “I wonder if she is legal. Anyhow, the Vols? The Vols will win the SEC. We will be 11-1 with our one loss coming against……Georgia. Dang I hate those bastards. But we just ain’t got the sperience to hang with ‘em on the road. GO VOLS!!!!!!!”

What an Alabama Fan Thinks: “When will that fat piece of crap get fired? Look, they are going to be good, okay. Yeah, I said it. They will be decent. Not as great as if they were coached by the Bear, but decent. I give ‘em four losses to Florida, Georgia, LSU, and Alabama. ROLL TIDE!!!!”

What Do I Think: Tennessee’s #1 problem has been selfish, undisciplined play. Well, okay add to that mind numbingly poor play calling from Randy Sanders. The addition of David Cutcliffe should make a huge difference for Erik Ainge. Will it solve all of Ainge’s problems, not likely, but I think he will show significant improvement. Plus, I think Fulmer trusts Cutcliffe more than he trusted Sanders and will let the leash out a little bit. The way the team plays is where the difference will be made for this season. Tennessee has to get away from the offsides penalties and other stupid mistakes that plague them if they are to make significant improvement over last year. The defense should be strong again as John Chavous just knows all the right buttons to push. I’m thinking 9 to 10 wins, but beware if they are still racking up tons of penalties early in the season.

Easily Win: Air Force, Kentucky, Marshall, and Vanderbilt
Should Win: Alabama and Memphis
Coin Toss: Arkansas, California, and South Carolina
Might Lose: Florida and Georgia
Will Lose: LSU

Tennessee Factoid You May Not Have Known: The annual average temperature in Knoxville is 60 degrees Fahrenheit.
