I Hope I Don't Jinx Them

VEB has an excellent breakdown of LaRussa's startling change of pace for the NLDS against the Padres. I agree that more of this type of managing is necessary. The Redbirds are a flawed team that will not win doing the traditional, by-the-book managing. Kudos to Tony for actually steping outside of his comfort zone and doing what has to be done. Of course, having a stud like Chris Carpenter to hand the ball to twice gives you a little leeway.
