Quick wrapup of week two. I nailed 4, while Madden got 3. I got the Atlanta, Indy, Seattle, and Dallas games, while the 360 predicted the Minnesota, NY Giants, and New Orleans games. In games where we agreed, we were 3-5. So on the season, Junior is 7-8, while Madden is 6-9.
Now, onto this weeks games:
Jax at Indy. Madden likes Manning and the boys to cover the 9 points. I disagree, but I'm worried about the Jags offense. I like Indy to win a close game, but for Jax to beat the spread. Indy 21 - Panthers 16.
Chicago at Minnesota. Chicago visits the HHH Metrodome in an early season clash of NFC Norris leaders, and is a 3 point favorite over the home team Vikings. Madden takes Minnesota to win outright, 35-17. I like Chicago to win, 28-21.
Cincy at Pit. The Steelers are a three point favorite on the visiting Bengals. The ole 360 says the Steelers will win 34-20. I'm not sure they are clicking on the offensive side of the ball yet, Bengals 28 - Steelers 10.
Carolina at TB. Panthers are a 3 point favorite on the road to Tampa Bay. I love the Caddy, but man, Tampa stinks. Madden says Bucs 19 - Panthers 9. I say it's more like Carolina 28 - TB 10.
Baltimore at Cleveland. The Browns, which might be the worst team in football, are a 6 point underdog at home to the visiting Ravens. Madden expects the Browns to pull a shocker and win 20-19. I'm sorry, but I just can't pick any team that lost to the Saints (I'm looking at you also, Green Bay). Ravens 27 - Browns 9.
Denver at New England. The Plummer Boys go on the road to face Tom Brady and the Pats, and are 6.5 road dogs. Madden goes with Denver to cover, but still lose 37-34. I like New England to win outright, 17 - 10.
We'll be back next week to see the results.
